Marrakech… Hammouchi hosts an official dinner in honour of representatives of countries and regional and international organisations attending Interpol’s 93rd General Assembly

The Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, hosted on the evening of Wednesday, 26 November, an official dinner in honour of representatives of countries as well as regional and international organisations taking part in the proceedings of the General Assembly of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), held in Marrakech from 24 to 27 November 2025.

The dinner was held in the historic setting of the El Badi Palace, in an atmosphere characterised by Moroccan hospitality and the authenticity of the venue. This ambiance brought great warmth and a strong heritage dimension to the evening, immersing the guests in the richness of Morocco’s cultural and artistic expressions.

Attending the dinner were the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, the President of Interpol, Dr Ahmed Nasser Al-Raisi, the organisation’s Secretary General, Valdecy Urquiza, as well as all members of Interpol’s Executive Committee. Also present was Dr Mohamed Ben Ali Koman, Secretary General of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers.

On the Moroccan side, the event was attended by the Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, the Minister Delegate for the Budget, Fouzi Lekjaa, the Corps General Mohamed Haramou, Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, the Director General of Studies and Documentation, Mohamed Yassine Mansouri, and the Wali of the Marrakech-Safi region, Khattib El Hebil.

More than 1,200 delegates from participating countries and international organisations — among them the Director General of the Spanish National Police, Francisco Pardo Piqueras, Ministers of the Interior, as well as Directors General of police and security from Interpol member states — also took part in the dinner and the cultural and artistic activities accompanying it.

The evening featured a variety of musical performances delivered by 16 folklore troupes representing the full spectrum of Moroccan musical traditions, from the north to the south of the Kingdom, highlighting the diversity and richness of the national cultural heritage.
