Marrakech. The Head of the German Criminal Police Praises the Excellent Security Cooperation Between Rabat and Berlin

The Head of the Criminal Police of the Federal Republic of Germany, Holger Münch, highlighted in Marrakech the excellence of the security cooperation between Rabat and Berlin.

“I would like to commend the excellent cooperation that has existed between our two countries for years and continues to develop,” stated the head of the German Federal Police in a press briefing following his talks with the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, on the sidelines of the 93rd session of the Interpol General Assembly, held in Marrakech from 24 to 27 November.

Holger Münch added: “We appreciate this cooperation and are very grateful for it.” The senior German security official also emphasized the “high competence” of the Moroccan security services.

Furthermore, the head of the German Criminal Police affirmed that Morocco and Germany can rely on each other in the field of security cooperation.

The Interpol General Assembly is the world’s largest gathering of law enforcement leaders, offering member countries an opportunity to build relationships and exchange experiences.

More than 800 delegates from 179 countries, including 82 security chiefs, are taking part in this international policing event, which addresses issues such as identifying and dismantling transnational organized crime, combating cross-border fraud centers, strengthening Interpol’s global policing capacities, and promoting the role of women within police services.
