On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York, Jacob Helberg joins the Atlantic Council for a discussion on how the United States can harness the potential of AI to retain its technological and geopolitical leadership.
The Atlantic Council hosts a fireside chat with Jacob Helberg, adviser for the White House Council of Economic Advisers.
Artificial intelligence is driving a technological revolution that could upend the global balance of power in ways not experienced in more than a century. Such a revolution raises questions about whether the United States or China is better positioned to win the race for twenty-first- century technologies—and how AI will impact the US economy at home and economic influence abroad. In order to compete, the Trump administration unveiled the AI Action Plan to prioritize infrastructure, innovation, and workforce development. Despite this push forward, questions on implementation and the role of allies and partners linger.
At this event, Helberg will discuss how the United States can harness the potential of AI to ensure it retains its technological and geopolitical leadership.
This event is part of our #ACinNY series, happening on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
